Harish Krishnaswamy is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Columbia Engineering, Columbia University. His research focuses on RF, millimeter-wave, and terahertz integrated circuits in silicon-based technologies, with specific projects on high-power millimeter-wave amplifiers in CMOS, terahertz circuits/systems, and broadband reconfigurable RF transceivers for cognitive/software-defined radio.
- Education: B.Tech. from Indian Institute of Technology-Madras (2001), M.S. and Ph.D. from University of Southern California (2003, 2009)
Research Areas: His work bridges theoretical analysis, implementation, and experimental validation of advanced semiconductor technologies, aiming to push the performance limits of silicon-based RF/millimeter-wave/terahertz circuits for next-generation communication systems.
Center Affiliations: Affiliated Member of the Sense, Collect and Move Data Center and the Smart Cities Initiative at Columbia University.
- Scientific Awards:
- IEEE ISSCC Lewis Winner Award (2007)
- USC Best Thesis in Experimental Research (2009)
- DARPA Young Faculty Award (2011)
Professional Roles: Serves on Technical Program Committees for IEEE RFIC Symposium and VLSI-D conferences. Research funded by federal agencies (DARPA, NSF) and industry partnerships.
