Hari Nair

Hari Nair is a Professor of Industrial Design at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Savannah, GA, since 2017, where he shares corporate knowledge with new generations of designers. His career includes executive roles at Whirlpool Corporation including Chief Design Officer for Whirlpool China (2015-2017) and Global Director of Advanced Design Studio (2010-2015), where he led brand development and innovation roadmaps.

His research focuses on design methodology in practice, entrepreneurship, and strategic design management. He aims to expand design methodologies within business contexts to enhance product innovation and user experience.

Nair has received numerous international design awards including multiple iF Design Awards, Spark Awards, and Good Design recognitions. He is an active member of professional organizations including the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) and APDC.
