Hareld Kemps

Hareld M.C. Kemps is a Full Professor (Part-time) at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), holding a joint appointment in the Department of Industrial Design and the EAISI (Eindhoven AI Systems Institute). He also serves as a cardiologist at Máxima Medical Center, specializing in cardiac rehabilitation, prevention, and telemedicine. His research focuses on integrating technology into healthcare systems to improve chronic cardiac care, particularly through remote patient management solutions tailored for athletes and other high-activity patients.

Key research themes include cardiac telerehabilitation technologies, patient-centered design for medical devices, and optimizing care pathways for chronic conditions. Kemps has led national and international projects, including the ITEA4 INNO4HEALTH initiative, and contributed to policy development through roles such as past-chair of the Dutch Working Group on Cardiac Prevention and Rehabilitation.
