Haocheng Lu is an Assistant Professor at the School of Medicine, Southern University of Science and Technology. He holds a BS in Clinical Medicine from Peking University Health Science Center (2014) and a PhD in Molecular and Integrative Physiology from the University of Michigan (2019). He conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Michigan Medical School from 2019 to 2022.

- Identifying novel cardiovascular disease-causal genes using GWAS, multi-omics, and animal models
- Developing in-vivo CRISPR screen platforms for macrophage function analysis
