Hans ten Rouwelaar

Dr. Hans ten Rouwelaar is an Associate Professor of Management Accounting & Control at Nyenrode Business University, affiliated with the Faculty Research Center for Accounting, Auditing & Control. He joined Nyenrode in 2000 after roles at the COTG (NZa), as an independent educator, and at Utrecht University of Applied Sciences. He holds an MSc in Econometrics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a PhD from Nyenrode (2015).

His research focuses on management accounting systems, venture capital dynamics, and management accountants' influence in organizations. He teaches in MSc, Executive, and in-company programs, emphasizing Management Control and Accounting Information Systems. Notably, he won Best Supervisor awards in 2018 (MSc Accountancy) and 2014 (MSc Controlling).

His publications explore topics like venture capital decision-making, management accountants' effectiveness, and organizational decision-making processes. He contributes to the Entrepreneurship & Responsible Leadership research collaboration area at Nyenrode.
