Hans Oettgen is the Prince Turki Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School, Deputy Chief of the Department of Pediatrics, and Associate Chief of the Division of Immunology at Boston Children's Hospital.

His research examines IgE-mediated immune responses, mast cell regulation, and inhibitory mechanisms of allergen-specific IgG antibodies in food allergy. As core researcher in the Food Allergy Science Initiative (FASI), he explores cellular pathways underlying allergic sensitization and tolerance.
Recent publications investigate:
