Hans-Jörg Bart

Prof. Dr. Hans-Jörg Bart is a full professor of Thermal Process Engineering at TU Kaiserslautern since 1994. He holds leadership roles in multiple academic organizations including President of ProcessNet’s Fluid Dynamics and Separation Technology section, Editor-in-Chief of Open Chemical Engineering Journal, and Chairman of the International Committee of Solvent Extraction (since 2014).

• Holds adjunct professorship at Kunming University (China)
• Former Dean (1999) and Prodekan (2004) of Mechanical Engineering & Process Engineering Faculty
• Leads the Christian Doppler Laboratory for Reactive System Modeling (1989–1995)

Research focuses on extraction processes, fluid dynamics, hydrometallurgy, and mathematical modeling. He has authored over 150 publications in these fields.

• Key awards include Senior Fellow of Christian Doppler Society (1998)
• Recipient of GIF (German-Israeli Foundation) refereeing role (since 2002)

Active in federal research programs like Advanced Materials Engineering (AME) and Nanostructured Catalysts (NanoKat) since 2009. Member of the Centre of Mathematical and Computational Modelling (CM)^2 research center.
