Hans-Georg Bensch is an Adjunct Professor at the Institute of Philosophy, Leibniz University Hannover. His research focuses on epistemology, metaphysics, and critical theory across classical antiquity (Plato/Aristotle), modern philosophy (Descartes/Leibniz/Hume), and German Idealism (Kant/Fichte/Hegel). He also explores Marx's philosophy of history, political economy, and social theory.
Education: Born in 1960, he earned a diploma in Social Sciences (1986, University of Oldenburg) and a PhD in Philosophy (1994, Leibniz University Hannover). He habilitated in 2004 with a thesis on Hegel's *Phenomenology of Spirit*, securing a teaching qualification. Appointed Adjunct Professor in 2006.
Teaching: Specializes in epistemology, metaphysics, history of philosophy, and rationalism/empiricism. Organized major conferences like the 2015 Workshop in Honor of James Bogen and 2010 'Current Topics in the Philosophy of the Human Sciences.'
Publications: Over 30 works including On the Wealth of Societies (2019), Perspectives of Consciousness (2005), and edited volumes on Hegel, Marx, and critical theory. Recent articles address truth concepts in critical theory and Marx-Hegel intersections.
