Dr. Hans-Christoph Thomale serves as a Lecturer for Seminar Energy Economics and Law 1 & 2 within the Energy Technology department. He maintains a dual career as both an academic contributor and a legal professional, working as a partner at Forvis Mazars (formerly Mazars) since 2018, where he leads the energy law practice area.

His research interests focus on the intersection of law and energy systems, with particular expertise in energy regulatory frameworks, contract law for energy supply, and legal aspects of the energy transition.
