Hans-Christian Myklestul is a Doctoral Research Fellow at the Department of General Practice, Faculty of Medicine, University of Oslo. He works within the research groups Clinical General Practice Research (Allmix) and General Practice Health Services Research (ALHF).

Research interests: His work focuses on the implementation and diagnostic uncertainty of point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) in general practice, alongside exploring social inequalities in health, minor surgery, and general practitioners' daily work routines.
Publications: His recent studies (2024–2025) examine the clinical impact and diagnostic challenges of POCUS in primary healthcare, while earlier works analyze its adoption and ethical considerations.
Scientific awards:
- 2022 Writer's Award from the Norwegian Association of General Practitioners for 'What's the deal with the GP scheme?'
Leadership roles: He has served as a union representative, board member of the Norwegian Medical Association, and deputy chairman of the Norwegian Association of General Practitioners. Collaborates with the Center for General Practice at Aalborg University.
