Hans Bihs

Hans Bihs is a Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Faculty of Engineering. His research focuses on computational fluid dynamics (CFD), wave hydrodynamics, and wave-structure interaction using the open-source framework REEF3D.

• Key Research Areas: CFD simulations, wave modeling, floating body dynamics, ocean wave energy, aquaculture hydrodynamics, sediment transport, and high-performance computing.

His recent publications (2025-2020) analyze fluid-structure interaction, ship-induced waves, floating offshore wind turbines, submerged vegetation, and coastal structures using advanced CFD techniques.
