Hannes Schwandt is an Associate Professor in the Department of Human Development and Social Policy at Northwestern University's School of Education and Social Policy (SESP). He also holds appointments at the Feinberg School of Medicine (Buehler Center as Associate Director), the Department of Economics (courtesy), the Institute for Policy Research (Fellow), and is associated with Opportunity Insights and the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. His research focuses on health economics, labor economics, and economic demography, examining how economic factors intersect with health outcomes, mortality, and child development.
