Hannes Rost is an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto, affiliated with the Terrence Donnelly Centre for Cellular & Biomolecular Research and the Department of Computer Science. His research focuses on systems-level molecular changes in health and disease, integrating mass spectrometry data with other omics data using computational methods such as machine learning and network analysis.
Education: PhD in Molecular Genetics.
Research Interests: Bioinformatics, proteomics, functional genomics, and computational methods for systems biology. He develops open-source algorithms to analyze mass spectrometry data and applies interdisciplinary approaches combining experimental and bioinformatic techniques.
