Hannes Lacher is an Associate Professor in the Department of Politics at York University. His research analyzes global capitalism, historical sociology of international systems, and theories of hegemony. Recent publications reinterpret Karl Polanyi's work and examine democratization, inequality, and market regulation.
He holds a PhD from the London School of Economics and teaches international relations and political economy.
