Hannele Seeck

Professor Hannele Seeck is a Visiting Professor at the London School of Economics (LSE) and a tenured Professor at LUT University. Her interdisciplinary research focuses on organisational communications, crisis management, and soft power, with a sociological and historical lens. She leads the Disinformation, Propaganda & Soft Power Research Lab and has collaborated with institutions like the Finnish Prime Minister’s Office on high-impact studies, including crisis management during the 2004 Asian tsunami. Prof. Seeck holds adjunct roles at the University of Helsinki and the National Defence University, and serves as Vice-Chair of Finland’s Scientific Advisory Board for National Defence. Her work bridges management studies, media analysis, and critical theory, particularly exploring AI’s role in detecting propaganda.
