Hanne Riese

Hanne Riese is a Professor at the University of Inland Norway, affiliated with the Faculty of Education and the Department of Education. Her research focuses on educational policy, higher education studies, inclusion, first-year studies, and qualitative research methods. She leads the research group "Samfunnsbyggende pedagogisk praxiser (SAPP)" and contributes to projects like ERAPAN (refugee education) and Reforming Education in Norway (RENO).

Her recent publications explore educational standardisation, race discourse in classrooms, and self-regulation in curriculum reform. Collaborations include co-edited volumes on educational policy and action research. She holds a doctorate in pedagogy from the University of Bergen (2010) and has previously published in areas such as critical race studies, qualitative synthesis, and pedagogical entrepreneurship.
