Hannan Azhar

Dr Hannan Azhar serves as Senior Lecturer and Programme Director in the School of Engineering, Technology and Design at Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU), UK, within the Department of Computing, AI and Cyber Security. He leads curriculum development and instruction for core modules including Robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Advanced Programming, and Research Methods.

His academic qualifications include:

• MSc specializing in Evolutionary Robotics with embedded AI controllers in hardware
• PhD research on AI techniques for pattern recognition tasks

Dr Azhar's research program integrates Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Cyber Security to address real-world challenges in assistive technologies, human/wildlife biometrics, and secure ubiquitous systems. His work demonstrates applied expertise in SMART home IoT environments, drone security frameworks, and biometric authentication systems requiring robust hardware-level protection.
