Hannah Vos-Grasman is a Lecturer/Researcher in Soil Fertility at Wageningen University & Research, affiliated with the Soil Chemistry and Chemical Soil Quality department. Her research focuses on soil chemistry-biology interactions, particularly the role of earthworms in enhancing phosphorus availability to improve agricultural sustainability. She investigates how earthworms increase plant phosphorus uptake and biomass production, offering nature-based solutions to reduce phosphorus fertilizer dependency.
Teaching responsibilities include the BSc courses SOC22803 (Principles of Soil Processes) and SOC21306 (Soil Pollution and Soil Protection), emphasizing hands-on learning to clarify soil chemical concepts. She supervises BSc and MSc thesis students in soil chemistry-related projects.
Her research projects, such as the 'Earthworm-enhanced phosphorus availability in soil,' explore ecological mechanisms to optimize nutrient cycling. She contributes to interdisciplinary efforts addressing soil health and sustainable agriculture.
