Hannah Myers is an Assistant Professor in Fisheries Management at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Her research focuses on marine mammal ecology, fisheries bycatch mitigation, and policy-relevant ecological studies, particularly addressing climate change impacts and human-wildlife interactions. She holds a PhD in Marine Biology (2023) from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and a BA in Political Science (2014) from Middlebury College.
Her work combines novel techniques like passive acoustic monitoring with economic analyses to inform sustainable management practices. She teaches FISH 691: Marine Policy Capstone, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches to conservation challenges.
