Dr Hannah Jobling is a Senior Lecturer in Social Work at the University of York and Director of the Well-being, Health and Communities pathway within the White Rose Doctoral Training Partnership. As a core member of the Place, Social Justice and Well-being interdisciplinary cluster, she bridges social work practice with theoretical frameworks across sociology, health, and law.

Research Focus spans qualitative methodologies applied to marginalized populations, including:
- Mental health challenges among youth and service users
- Critical analysis of power dynamics in social work
- Policy translation into practice realities
- Historical evolution of social work frameworks
- Community-based interventions for vulnerable groups
- Anti-racist approaches in professional contexts
Her recent publications highlight intersections between mental health systems, parenting with learning disabilities, and gendered experiences of violence, reflecting her commitment to socially just practices. Notably, she received the ESWRA Outstanding Publication Award (2015) for doctoral research contributions.
