Hannah Duncan

Hannah Duncan is a Senior Lecturer in Primary Initial Teacher Education (ITE) at Canterbury Christ Church University, based in the School of Social Work, Education, and Teacher Education. She holds a part-time (sessional) academic position and serves as the music tutor for the university's BA and PGCE teacher training routes.

Her educational background includes:

• Studied the oboe at the Royal Academy of Music
• Completed teacher training through the School Direct route at Canterbury Christ Church University

With experience teaching in primary schools across Kent and London, she has held music coordinator roles and mentored student teachers. Her research focuses on integrating music education within primary teacher preparation, emphasizing practical classroom applications and trainee development in Initial Teacher Education contexts.
