Hanna Gabriella Miles is a final-year PhD candidate and Visiting Tutor in English Literature at Royal Holloway, University of London. She holds a Master of Arts (Merit, 2019) and a Bachelor of Arts (1st class, 2018) in English Literature from the University of Sussex. Her research focuses on trauma, nostalgia, and material culture in 20th- and 21st-century literature, with a specialization in Vladimir Nabokov and interdisciplinary explorations of memory and consumerism.
Her work has been published in Slavonic and East European Review, with further articles pending in Modern Language Review and Journal of American Studies. She actively contributes to academic communities through organizing events like Material Worlds (Sept 2024) and Bodies and Material Cultures Research Group Forum: Clothing (Jan 2025). She is part of the Centre for the Study of the Body and Material Culture.
