Hank Dietz is a Professor and James F. Hardymon Chair in Networking at the University of Kentucky, affiliated with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering within the Stanley and Karen Pigman College of Engineering. His research focuses on compilers, digital imaging, hardware architectures and networking, operating systems, and parallel processing. He holds a Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. in Computer Science from the Polytechnic University of New York.
His career includes roles as Professor at the University of Kentucky (since 1999), Associate Professor at Purdue University (1992–2000), and visiting positions at Washington University and Stevens Institute of Technology. His work emphasizes parallel computing systems, compiler optimization, and high-performance architectures.
