Haneol Kim

Haneol Kim is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Exercise & Sport Science at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (UWL). He holds a PhD from Georgia State University and an MS from Purdue University. His research focuses on biomechanics and motor control, including gait analysis in pediatric populations and the perceptual-motor abilities of esports gamers. He has presented widely at conferences such as the American Society of Biomechanics and the European College of Sport Science.

Kim’s career includes roles as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at Georgia State University, and he has taught courses in biomechanics at UWL. His work explores topics such as the effects of rhythmic auditory stimulation on gait variability, tennis biomechanics, and comparisons between esports and traditional athletes.

His research has been published in journals like the Journal of Electronic Gaming and Esports and Research and Investigations in Sports Medicine, with a focus on advancing understanding of human movement and performance across diverse populations.
