Hanchu Sun is a PhD researcher at the Design, Organisation and Strategy department within the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering at TU Delft. His research focuses on design strategies to extend consumer electronics' perceived value and usage duration. He holds an MSc (cum laude) in Strategic Product Design from TU Delft (2023) and a BEng in Industrial Design from the University of Liverpool (2019).
His academic work explores intersections between consumer behavior, sustainable design, and technology adoption. Key areas include mitigating premature obsolescence through design interventions, and understanding user acceptance of emerging technologies like robotaxis.
