Hamaseh Kianfar is an Adjunct Professor at the University of San Francisco and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with over 18 years of experience in trauma-informed practices, forensics, and community mental health. She currently serves as a Licensed Behavioral Health Practitioner for Marin County's Behavioral Health and Human Services and holds leadership roles with the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (CAMFT) and Marin County Human Rights Commission.
- Education: EdD in Organization and Leadership (University of San Francisco, 2010), MFT (University of San Francisco, 2019), MS in Psychology (Dominican University, 2000), BA in Psychology and Education (UC Davis, 1996)
Her research focuses on trauma-informed practices, severe mental illness, and the intersection of mental health and the criminal justice system. Her selected publications explore narratives of HIV-positive women's resilience and adherence counseling in community pharmacies, reflecting her commitment to qualitative methodologies and marginalized populations.
She actively contributes to mental health policy as a CAMFT Board of Directors member and Pre-Licensed Committee member, while also engaging in clinical supervision and community program management.
