Halvor Melkild serves as a Doctoral Research Fellow in Theoretical Physics at the University of Oslo, conducting research at the intersection of Particle Physics, Cosmology, and Astrophysics with a primary focus on Dark Matter hypotheses. His role encompasses both advanced research and teaching responsibilities within the physics department.
His academic foundation includes:
- Master of Science in Physics from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (2020-2022), featuring thesis work on neutrino mass and parity breaking in the Standard Model
- Bachelor of Science in Physics from NTNU and Technical University of Munich (2016-2020)
Halvor's research program investigates fundamental Dark Matter properties through particle physics frameworks, leveraging his expertise in gauge theories to bridge cosmological observations with theoretical particle models. His interdisciplinary approach examines how potential Dark Matter candidates might interact with known Standard Model particles and influence cosmic structure formation.
