Halit UYANIK serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Administrative Law at Istanbul University's Faculty of Law since 2018, following prior appointments as Assistant Professor (2014-2018) and Research Assistant (2011-2014) at the same institution. His academic trajectory began at Istanbul University's Vocational School of Justice (2005-2011) and includes current managerial duties as Deputy Director of the International Student Application and Research Center since 2022.
His educational foundation comprises undergraduate (1999-2004), postgraduate (2004-2007), and doctoral studies (2007-2013) in Public Law at Istanbul University. His doctoral dissertation focused on the concept of economic public interest in Turkish administrative law.
UYANIK's research centers on Turkish administrative law with specialized investigations into environmental regulations, governmental authority structures, and penalty systems. His scholarly output reveals consistent engagement with practical applications of legal theory in public administration, particularly examining intersections between law, economics, and urban governance through frameworks like economic public interest and administrative acceptance.
He received the 'İdare Hukukunda Boşluk Doldurma Tuba' award in January 2020 and has served as peer reviewer for Hacettepe University Law Journal, Selçuk University Law Journal, and Uyuşmazlık Mahkemesi Dergisi.
With three thesis advisories completed, UYANIK teaches across academic levels including Administrative Law, Administrative Procedure, and specialized courses for city managers.
