Halina T. Kobryn is a Senior Lecturer in Murdoch University's Centre for Terrestrial Ecosystem Science and Sustainability. Her research applies GIS, participatory GIS (PPGIS), and remote sensing to analyze natural and modified environments.
She holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Science from Murdoch University, Graduate Diploma in Spatial Data Analysis from Curtin University, and BSc in Geography from University of Wroclaw.
Research applications include mapping marine habitats, vegetation cover analysis, mangrove ecosystem studies, and investigations of wildlife spatial ecology. Projects include social-ecological characterizations of the Kimberley coastline and integrating ecological/social values of Roebuck Bay.
