Halil İbrahim İçoğlu is an Associate Professor at Gaziantep University's Faculty of Engineering, Department of Textile Engineering. He holds a PhD in Textile Engineering from Çukurova University (2008-2014), complemented by master's (2003-2006) and bachelor's (1998-2003) degrees from the same institution. His academic career began in 2006 as a Research Assistant at Gaziantep University, progressing to Doctor Lecturer (2015-2023) and Associate Professor (2023-present).
His research focuses on:
- Advanced electrospinning techniques for nanofiber production
- Functional textiles including wound dressings and composites
- Nanotechnology applications in textile engineering
- Polymer processing and fiber technology innovations
- Textile finishing and characterization methods
His publications (24 articles) predominantly explore nanofiber manufacturing optimization, functional material development, and textile composites, with recent work emphasizing industrial-scale production methods.

- University First Place in Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Çukurova University (2003)
Research Leadership: He has managed 8 national projects including TÜBİTAK-funded initiatives on nanofiber production machines and graphene oxide applications, while advising 6 graduate students on nanofiber biomaterials and composites.
Administrative Roles: Currently serves as Department Deputy Chair, MÜDEK Coordinator, and Faculty Board Member. Previously held accreditation coordination and deputy chair positions (2016-2023).
