Halil İbrahim Güler

Halil İbrahim Güler is an Associate Professor of Molecular Biology and Genetics at Karadeniz Technical University, Trabzon, Turkey. He is based in the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics within the Faculty of Science, where he teaches and conducts research in microbiology, molecular biology, and biotechnology.

His research focuses on molecular microbiology, enzymology, and environmental biotechnology. Areas of interest include recombinant DNA technology, enzyme characterization, microbial genomics, and the bioremediation of industrial wastewater containing lignin and pharmaceutical pollutants. He also explores novel bacterial strains and plasmid systems.

He has taught a range of graduate and postgraduate courses including Industrial Microbiology, Medical Microbiology, Environmental Microbiology, Applications of Biotechnology, Advances in Microbiology, and Bioinformatics.

Güler has led or participated in 33 projects and served as principal investigator in 2 major research initiatives. He has supervised 33 thesis students at the master's and doctoral levels.
