Dr. Haley Moore serves as an Adjunct Lecturer in Theatre & Music Studies at State University of New York College at Brockport, where she conducts the Brockport College and Community Orchestra. She simultaneously directs three string orchestras and a fiddle ensemble at Canandaigua Academy and teaches fiddle at the Eastman Community Music School.
Her academic credentials include:
- PhD in Music Teaching and Learning from Eastman School of Music (2024)
- Master of Music in Music Education from Eastman School of Music (2015)
- Bachelor of Music in Classical Violin Performance from Eastman School of Music (2013)
- Advanced Certificate in Mind-Body Healing and Wellness from Warner School of Education (University of Rochester)
Dr. Moore's research integrates holistic philosophy into music education, emphasizing connection, reflection, and creativity. She presents nationally on professional development for educators, student wellness, and music as a community-building tool, with publications in the Holistic Education Review and Arts Education Policy Review, where she also serves as contributing editor and peer reviewer.
Her pedagogical approach extends to ensemble leadership across Rochester-area school districts and festivals, while her performance practice spans Irish, Old-Time, Folk, Bluegrass, and Appalachian fiddle traditions. As a member of Sisters of Murphy since 2016, she actively bridges academic and folk music communities.
