Associate Professor Haley LaMonica is a mid-career researcher and Board Certified Clinical Neuropsychologist with 15 years' clinical experience. She holds a PhD and serves as Associate Professor at the University of Sydney's Brain and Mind Centre, leading the Youth Mental Health and Technology Team. Her work focuses on culturally adapted digital solutions for children/youth mental health, particularly in low-middle income countries. Key affiliations include the Sydney Southeast Asia Centre and Brain and Mind Centre.
Research interests span digital mental health technologies, co-design methodologies, implementation science, and child/youth mental health. She has led projects in Africa, Southeast Asia, and Australia, emphasizing culturally sensitive approaches. Recent work includes developing parenting apps for early childhood development and evaluating mHealth accessibility in low-resource settings.
Publications emphasize digital health equity, mental health service reform, and technology-enabled care pathways. Grants include collaborations with Alzheimer's Research UK and the NHMRC.
