Dr. Haleh Ardebili is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Houston, holding the Kamel Salama Endowed Professorship. She also serves as the Assistant Vice President of Entrepreneurship and Startup Ecosystem.

Her research focuses on innovative materials design for energy storage and electronic applications, including:
- Ion Transport mechanisms in polymer nanocomposite electrolytes
- Flexible and Stretchable Li-ion Batteries
- Electrode/electrolyte interfacial issues
- Bio-materials for energy storage
- Nanostructured materials for electronics
- Polymer nanocomposite electrolytes for batteries, fuel cells, and supercapacitors
