Hala Khamis Nassar is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Education, Department of Curriculum and Pedagogy, Bethlehem University. She also serves as the Assistant to the Vice President of Academic Affairs and Director of the Center of Excellence in Teaching and Learning.
- Education: Ph.D. in Performing Arts & Middle Eastern Studies (Free University of Berlin), additional studies at Birzeit University, Scotland, and the USA
- Prior Academic Appointments: University of California, Berkeley; Evergreen State College; Columbia University; University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; Yale University (2001-2016)
Her research focuses on Arab theatre history, with particular emphasis on Palestinian cultural production and theatre. This work bridges performing arts and Middle Eastern studies, exploring cultural identity through theatrical practices.
Dr. Nassar has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals covering topics related to her research expertise. She maintains an active presence on ResearchGate.
