Hakan Erkol is an Associate Professor and Deputy Head of the Department of Physics at Boğaziçi University. He holds a PhD (2009) and MS (2003) in Physics from Boğaziçi University, and a BS (2000) in Physics from Yıldız Technical University. His research focuses on theoretical physics applied to biomedical engineering, particularly in medical physics, photoacoustic imaging, and laser therapy.
