Prof. Hakan Atalay is an Associate Professor at Yeditepe University's Faculty of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry. He has been actively involved in academic and clinical work since 2005.

- Specialization in Psychiatry at Bakırköy Mazhar Osman Uzman Ruh ve Sinir Hastalıkları Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi (1991).
His research focuses on psychiatry, psychopathology, sleep disorders, depression, anxiety, OCD, schizophrenia, psychopharmacology, developmental psychopathology, and social trauma. Recent publications emphasize neuropsychoanalysis, psychiatric comorbidities, and cultural psychology.
