Haitao Li

Dr. Haitao Li is a Professor at the Ed G. Smith College of Business, University of Missouri–St. Louis, specializing in Supply Chain and Analytics. He serves as the Founding Director of the Laboratory of Advanced Supply Chain Analytics (LASCA) and has held the Department Chair role.

His research focuses on optimization techniques, stochastic resource planning, multi-project scheduling, and sustainable supply chain design, funded by the National Science Foundation, U.S. Army Research Office, and industry partners like HP Labs and Express Scripts Inc.. Recent publications highlight applications in drone-based vaccine distribution, multi-agent resource allocation, and low-carbon supply chain configuration.

Dr. Li’s work integrates approximate dynamic programming, Bayesian learning, and multi-modal logistics to address complex decision-making problems. His patented technologies include systems for physical resource optimization and stochastic project scheduling.
