Hailey Beal

Hailey Beal is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Chemistry Department at University of Puget Sound. She teaches general chemistry, organic chemistry, and biology-related courses including biochemistry, microbiology, and human anatomy/physiology.

• Education: BS from Eastern Washington University (2016), PhD from University of Florida (2022)

Her research focuses on small molecule biosynthesis in soil microbes, specifically isolating and identifying novel natural products. She works in microbial chemical biology and natural product discovery.
