Haidy Galous

Haidy Galous, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center, specializing in rheumatology within the Division of Rheumatic Diseases. She joined the faculty in 2021 and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in rheumatology. Dr. Galous completed her medical degree at Ain Shams University Faculty of Medicine in Cairo, followed by a residency in internal medicine there and a second residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. She also holds a fellowship in rheumatology from the latter institution.

Her research focuses on autoimmune conditions such as systemic lupus erythematosus, scleroderma, rheumatoid arthritis, antiphospholipid syndrome, and IgG4-related disease. She has published multiple academic articles and presented at conferences in these areas. Dr. Galous is affiliated with professional organizations including the Texas Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, and the American College of Rheumatology.
