Haider Hubert

Hubert Haider is a Professor of General and Applied Linguistics at the University of Salzburg, serving as Vice-Director of the Centre for Neurocognitive Research. He holds a PhD (1980) and Habilitation (1987) in General Linguistics from the University of Vienna. His academic career includes professorial roles at the University of Stuttgart (1988-1996) and leadership positions such as Chairman of the Department of Linguistics at Salzburg and Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy at Stuttgart. His research focuses on syntax, language-cognition interfaces, and neurolinguistics, with significant contributions to computational linguistics and Germanic/Romance language studies.
