Hagit Weihs is an Associate Professor of Accounting at the International Business School of Brandeis University, where she also serves as the Undergraduate Advising Head. With over 25 years of experience in accounting and finance, she has taught courses in financial accounting, managerial accounting, financial statement analysis, security analysis, and finance to undergraduate, graduate, and executive MBA students across institutions including Brandeis, Bentley University, Boston University, and Tel-Aviv University.

Research Interests: Weihs's research centers on financial accounting, with a particular focus on alternative accounting standards and regimes and their effects on financial reporting quality and investor decision-making. Between 2001 and 2003, she was a visiting fellow at Harvard University, conducting collaborative research with faculty from Harvard Business School. Her work bridges theoretical accounting frameworks with practical implications for financial markets.

Professional Experience and Service: Prior to her academic career, Weihs held controller and CFO positions in the insurance industry and served as a senior auditor at KPMG Israel, where she is a certified public accountant. She actively contributes to the academic community through leadership roles, including as co-president of the Boston chapter of the Recanati Business School alumni association since 2001 and co-chair of the Boston committee of the American Friends of Tel-Aviv University since 2010.
