Hafiz Khan

Hafiz Khan, PhD, is a Tenured Full Professor in the Department of Public Health at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC), School of Population and Public Health. With nearly 30 years of experience, he has held roles at institutions including Florida International University, Rutgers University, and Chittagong University. His expertise spans biostatistics, public health, and biomedical research, with over 126 peer-reviewed publications and 160+ abstracts. He leads the NSF-funded Cloud and Autonomic Computing Center as Chief Biostatistics Advisor and has advised 300+ graduate students.

Education: Post-doctoral studies at Robarts Research Institute (2004), PhD from University of Western Ontario (2003), and earlier degrees from Chittagong University (BSC 1989, MSC 1990).

Research focuses on health disparities in rural populations, cardiovascular disease, dementia, and cancer epidemiology. Key projects include CPRIT-funded breast cancer screening initiatives and NSF grants on predictive health models.
