Education: Ph.D. in Health Outcomes & Pharmacy Practice from The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy; M.Pharm and B.Pharm from South Korea.
Research Interests: Her work bridges pharmacoeconomics and policy, evaluating treatments for chronic conditions like HCV, asthma, and heart failure. Key areas include policy impact on vulnerable populations, anticoagulant safety, and digital health interventions to improve adherence. Recent studies explore narcolepsy-cardiovascular links and PrEP adherence trends.
Articles & Trends: Her publications emphasize real-world drug effectiveness (e.g., DAAs in HCV/HCC, sacubitril/valsartan in heart failure) and policy implications (e.g., Medicaid prior authorization barriers). Recent work highlights disparities in HCV treatment access and cardiovascular risks linked to narcolepsy.
Awards & Grants: NIH/NIDA K01 (2018–2023), Florida Department of Health grants, and industry-funded studies (e.g., Bristol-Myers Squibb). She leads projects on PrEP adherence, HIV testing, and telehealth asthma management.
Advising & Teaching: Teaches courses in pharmacoeconomics and policy since 2014, including advanced research supervision. Active in mentoring doctoral and master’s students through PHA7980/PHA7979.
Labs & Collaborations: Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams (e.g., UF Medication Therapy Management Communication & Care Center, HCV-TARGET) and industry partners (Proteus Digital Health) on digital health and adherence solutions.
