Hadi T. Nia

Hadi T. Nia is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Division of Materials Science and Engineering at Boston University. He holds a PhD from MIT (2013) and leads the Nia Lab, focusing on mechanobiology, tumor microenvironment, and pulmonary pathogenesis. His work integrates physical sciences, molecular biology, and immunology to study cancer metastasis, aging, and lung diseases. Key innovations include the 'Crystal Ribcage' platform for ex vivo lung research, enabling real-time optical imaging and functional analysis.

Research interests span mechanobiology, mechano-immunity, tumor microenvironment dynamics, and lung resilience mechanisms.
