Haadi Jafarian

Haadi Jafarian is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Colorado Denver, where he directs the Active Cyber and Infrastructure Defense (ACID) Lab. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina Charlotte in 2017.

His research spans:

• Active Cyber Defense: Moving Target Defense, Cyber Deception, and Resilience
• Security Analytics: Big data-driven threat intelligence and automation
• Critical Infrastructures: Protection of cyber-physical systems and networks

Recent publications (2020–2025) focus on innovative cybersecurity countermeasures, including traffic obfuscation, DNS security, game-theoretic defenses, and deception techniques. Trends highlight machine learning integration, adversarial robustness, and scalable protection for enterprise networks.
