HT (Teade) Punter

Dr. Ir. Teade Punter serves as a Lecturer in High Tech Embedded Software and ICT & Technology at Fontys University of Applied Sciences, School of ICT. His extensive career spans multiple prestigious research institutions including Fraunhofer Institute for Experimental Software Engineering, Eindhoven University of Technology, and TNO-ESI.

His academic foundation includes:

• Philosophy of Engineering degree from University of Twente (1991)
• PhD in Software Certification from Eindhoven University of Technology (2001)

Punter's research focuses on Embedded Systems and Software Quality Assurance with specialized expertise in system architecture evolvability, technical risk visualization, and industry-academia technology transfer. His methodologies address critical challenges in high-tech manufacturing, robotics, and medical devices through practical frameworks for software assessment and system integration.

His research leadership includes:

• ITEA Twins project (2004) on Hardware-Software co-simulation
• RAAK MKB Let's Move (2017) for robotics fleet management
• Philips Medical architecture evolution studies
• ASML system integration predictability models

He directs research initiatives through the Embedded Systems Institute and TNO-ESI, while serving on the Dutch Test Day steering committee and delivering inaugural lectures such as 'Atmospheric impression' (2018).
