معرفی
H. Michael Gach, PhD, is a Professor of Radiation Oncology at Washington University School of Medicine. He joined the faculty in 2015, previously affiliated with the University of Pittsburgh MR Research Center and Cancer Institute. His research focuses on advancing MRI techniques for clinical applications, particularly in image-guided radiotherapy and neurodegenerative disease analysis.
- BS, Electrical Engineering (University of Florida, 1982)
- ME, Nuclear Engineering Sciences (University of Florida, 1983)
- MS, Physics (University of Pittsburgh, 1993)
- PhD, Physics (University of Pittsburgh, 1998)
Dr. Gach's work spans MRI physics, pulse sequence development, and quantitative hemodynamics, with applications in radiotherapy, hyperthermia, and Alzheimer's disease. He pioneered respiratory motion prediction algorithms for arterial spin labeling and developed nanoparticle-based theranostic methods for tumor targeting.
His recent publications highlight innovations in MRI-Linac systems for real-time motion compensation, renal ASL MRI standardization, and sonobiopsy techniques for glioblastoma detection. These works emphasize cross-disciplinary integration of medical physics, oncology, and neuroimaging.
