Günter Klambauer

Günter Klambauer is an Associate Professor at Johannes Kepler University Linz, affiliated with the LIT AI Lab and the Institute for Machine Learning. He focuses on applying machine learning and AI to life sciences, particularly genetics and molecular biology.

His work includes leading data analysis groups in collaborations with pharmaceutical companies and developing the best computational method for predicting chemical toxicity in the Tox21 Data Challenge. He is renowned for creating "self-normalizing neural networks" and has received prestigious awards for his contributions to life sciences research.
