Gülnur EROĞLU is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Archaeology at Adıyaman University. She holds a PhD from Ege University (2014) and has served as a Research Assistant at both Ege University (2008–2014) and Adıyaman University (since 2014). Her research focuses on prehistoric and protohistoric Anatolia, particularly human figurines and environmental interactions, as evidenced by her doctoral thesis on Neolithic to Early Bronze Age cultures in Western Anatolia.
She has led or participated in numerous excavations, including the Yeşilova Mound ( İzmir) as Deputy Director of Excavation since 2015, Kavuşan Höyük (Diyarbakır), and Ayanis Castle (Van). Key projects include archaeological surveys in Adıyaman Province and studies on Early Bronze Age ceramics. She teaches courses on Urartian Archaeology, Syrian-Mesopotamian cultures, and Anatolian seal art.
Her work integrates fieldwork with interdisciplinary approaches, such as archaeobotanical analysis and ethnoarchaeology. Notable contributions include publications on Yeşilova Mound excavations and presentations at international symposia, including the Berlin-Izmir Research Seminar (2008).
